Innovative health care delivery system
I explore high-performing healthcare delivery systems and policies for vulnerable populations. I have been evaluating the implementation of value-based accountable care models in Oregon Medicaid—known as Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs)—on health care utilization and cost, health behaviors, and health outcomes. I also study efficiency and effectiveness of physical mental health care integration.
Health reforms
I have been studying the impact of Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. Obamacare) with greater emphasis on State Medicaid expansion. n an international context, I investigate the role of supplemental private health insurance within National Health Insurance scheme, and methods to address rising health expenditures.
